Getting Bigger

Here I am, 29 weeks, my first prego pics. Eight more weeks to go until I'm in the clear and can have this baby without an obligatory stay in the NICU! Since coming home, the pregnancy has continued quite smoothly and I continue to feel quite well. I had an ultrasound done three weeks ago when we first got home and everything looked as it should. Unfortunately haven't been able to scan the pictures to post them, though. I'm still on bed rest, but I do manage to get out from time to time.

My belly does look a little bigger from this angle.

It's so weird to see myself look like that!

The Dahlia Patch

Donnie's been weeding in the dahlia patch. He's making pretty good progress. There's about 60 plants or so. I can't wait to see them bloom. I tried planting some in the little flower bed in front of our cottage, but the snails always got to them before they could get too far. My gardening endeavors don't usually turn out very well. I once killed a mint plant...I was told it was very hard to do.

Recycled Sari Yarn

Beautiful, beautiful yarn. This yarn has been sitting in my (quite plentiful) stash for probably at least three years now, just waiting for that perfect project. I've had a lot of free time on my hands lately, so I had Donnie dig my yarn stash out of storage to keep me busy. After days of searching through patterns online I found this one and was inspired.
All the pretty colors all together made me happy while I was knitting it. This is my favorite corner. And this is my favorite part of the strap.
When I get around to it, I have the perfect button to go with it.
